Take one tablespoon of honey (buy it from Amazon), one tablespoon of brown sugar, a half tablespoon of Vaseline, and a half tablespoon of olive oil. Mix them well in a pot and then store it in a clean container. You should not use each batch more than one week.
Rub your lips softly with the fingertips with a little honey scrub. Rub your lips just for one minute and then let the scrub stay on the lips for 2 minutes.
Then wash off your lips with warm water. It will be better if you exfoliate your lips at night, then the outside elements cannot hit your lips. After exfoliating your lips, dab Burt’s Bees 100% Natural Lip Balm on your lips.

Mix one drop of vitamin E oil, one tablespoon of sweet almond oil and 10 fresh cranberries in a microwave. Mix them 3 minutes. Remove it from the microwave. Let the mixture cool down and strain it. Mix one teaspoon of honey with it and stir them well. Store this mixture in a lip gloss container and wear it when you need. This lip gloss will hydrate and shine your lips at a time.
8. Use Honey with Olive Oil
This homemade treatment for chapped lips will be a mixture of some coconut oil, olive oil, and honey. Olive oil protects the lips from dryness and coconut oil moisturizes the lips inside like a lip balm. Honey will make your lips fuller and bigger.
Mix one tablespoon of olive oil, one tablespoon of coconut oil and a ¾ tablespoon of honey altogether in a small bowl. Then apply it on your cracked lips and let it stay overnight. Here I will use almond oil, beeswax and honey to prevent your chapped lips. Beeswax is antibacterial, anti-oxidant and anti-inflammatory. It creates a protective barrier on your dry lips. Olive oil will exfoliate the dry skin cells on the lips. All that gives you soft and smooth lips.
Mix one tablespoon of honey, one tablespoon of almond oil and a little beeswax in a small bowl. Mix them well to turn a thick paste. Rub it on the lips and stay for 8 minutes. Then rinse off your lips with lukewarm water. Apply this home remedy two times a day.
10. Use Honey with Cocoa Powder
Cocoa powder is another home remedy to treat dry lips with honey and brown sugar. Cocoa is loaded with some fatty contents and high-quality anti-oxidants that moisturize the chapped lips along with removing wrinkles, soreness, inflammation and other symptoms accompanied by cracked lips in winter.

11. Honey and Cucumber Treatment

Vaseline Petroleum Jelly penetrates into the lips fast and heals the damaged lips rapidly. It makes the lips smooth and thick. It removes the dead skin cells and renews the lips fast.
Apply some honey on the dry lips evenly. Wait for a minute to dry the honey with air. Then apply some petroleum jelly on the lips with your fingertips. Wait for 5 minutes. Do it twice a day. Then wipe off the honey and Vaseline with a cotton ball soaking into warm water. This process will heal your chapped lips soon.
- Use homemade lip scrubs.
- Use lip balm made with natural ingredients.
- Use SPF lip balm to protect the lips from sunburns and windburns.
- Switch on your humidifier in the winter to keep the air in the right moisture.
- Avoid peeling the lips. It may cause bleeding, pain or infections.
- Drink lots of water to keep your skin hydrated even in winter.
- Don’t lick the dry lips because saliva is more drying element for lips.
- If your skin is allergic to pollen, don’t use honey.
- Use a moisturizing lipstick to keep the lips always safe from dry air.

- Quit smoking for better lip look.
- Don’t exfoliate lips more than twice a week.
- If any remedies above make your lips sensitive, don’t use it/them.
- If you have weak or compromised immune system, don’t use honey because it may cause (serious illness) botulism.
- Don’t use honey for infants.
- Don’t use any cleanser or soap to rinse off the lips.
